TFYC Early Season Volunteer Assignment
All volunteers must attend the mandatory meeting which will take place at the Boulder Reservoir from 10:30am to 11:00am on Saturday the 3rd of 2008. At this time you will receive a detailed description of your duty in writing with pictures and have the opportunity to ask any questions about the position you have selected below. As well as receive your volunteer t-shirt according to the size you specify when you sign up. We encourage you to select more than one position if they don’t overlap.

May 3rd, 2008:
Registration Tent (6 Volunteers: 11:00am- 4:00pm)
Food Provided: Lunch Sandwiches (Specifics Coming soon)
Volunteers will hand out envelopes according to the athlete’s last name, and call out for a bag that will have their requested size of t-shirt in it. Other registration tent volunteers will be retrieving the event bags with the
t-shirts inside.

Volunteers on this day will receive the same meals as the athletes do
Marshals on the Bike Course:
We need a total of 12 marshals in a wide variety of time commitments ranging from 45 minutes to 3 hours. You will be equipped with an orange vest and a noise maker. You will then go to an intersection and make sure that the bike riders are going in the correct direction and cheer them on. Very fun Job! Please contact David@triforyourcause.com to sign up. Marshals are not obligated to go to the meeting.
Parking (3 Volunteers 6:30am – 8:30am):
Volunteers will direct cars in an orderly manner.
Athlete Body Marking (3 Volunteers 6:45am – 8:00am)
Volunteers will write athlete’s number and age on the athlete before they enter the transition area.
Transition Area Regulation 1 (2 Volunteers 7:00am – 10:00am):
Volunteers will assure that all athletes are body marked before they enter the transition area. Only one exit will be open in which all athletes must enter and exit through. After the race starts (9:00am) the volunteers will split up. One will go to the swim finish location and the other one go to the bike start location and make sure that everyone gets through.
Transition Area Regulation 2 (2 Volunteers 8:45 – 12:00am):
Volunteers will be placed just outside the bike finish portion of the transition area and tell athletes to slow down and obey the dismount line.
Transition Area Regulation 3 (2 Volunteers 9:00 am - 12:00pm)
Volunteers will be placed just outside the run start and hand out cups of water and Gatorade.
Transition Area Regulation 4 ( 2 Volunteers 11:00am – 1:00pm)
Volunteers will check to make sure that all athletes leaving the transition area have the correct bike.
Chip Removal and Finishers Glass Distributer (4 Volunteers 10:00am – 12:30pm)
Volunteers will take the timing chip from the athlete while someone else hands them a finisher’s glass.
Event Take Down (4 Volunteers 1:00pm – 3:00pm)
Volunteers will help take down the temporary boarders, stage, tables, finish line, banners and transition area. Some lifting might be needed but nothing serious.
